Ab Crunch – the Mainstay of any Ab Workout Routine

Unlike sit-ups, when doing ab crunches the burning pain begins almost instantaneously. This pain is what you want to help develop stronger abs which in turn will burn through fat quicker. However, for many people this immediate onset of the burning pain causes them to loose focus and worry about whether or not the exercise is actually doing anything. After only a few days, the average person starts to break their routine on a regular basis then complains that it is not doing anything for them.
Of course this is not true at all because you have to remember that belly fat is the most stubborn fat on the body. You need to continuously perform crunches for many months before you may even see the first small changes. This is because the ab crunches are slowly building and strengthening the abdominals to the point where they are able to burn the fat quicker. If you begin to break the routine before these changes start to become apparent, you are only going backwards and will in most cases have to work twice as hard to get back to the point in which the routine was disrupted.
Do yourself and your body a favor and stay committed to performing the ab crunches on a regular basis; even if you do not see any results. Most people will not see any results for the first couple of months. Since the results will not be visible because of the belly fat in the way for the first couple of months, you cannot honestly say they are not working. Stay consistent for at least 6 months and you will see some drastic changes in your mid-section.
